Julie and Sam Engagement

I had a wonderful engagement shoot with Sam and Julie Lohr on at the Palace of Fine Art in San Francisco. We enjoyed taking overly mushy lovey dovey shots of them frolicking in the columns and by the pond. We sat down to a picturesque picnic and wondered what it was like back in the early victorian century with all the ladies in their fancy sunday dresses and the men in their suits. Probably very different than things are now with people in their casual attire and digital cameras in hand!

My Sisters Wedding

I recently got to see my little sister Tahsa get married (and I didn't have to shoot it, PHEW!). It was an amazing day. No words can describe the increadible feeling of geting so see your family all together, your little sister looking more beautiful than you have ever seen, and to see an amazing connection of love between her and her new husband Jon. They are so perfect for each other. It's wonderful to see her actually with a counterpart. They definitely balance each other. Lindsay & Miika Engagement

Lindsay and Miika are a wonderful couple who are obviously madly in love and were so fun to watch walk and play on the beach and in the park in San Francisco with their dog Mocha. We hoped to catch some sunset lighting and found a fairytale like spot in Golden Gate Park where the light was shining through the trees. It created a beautiful naturally lit moment.

Maternity shoot update

Here is a maternity pic i took last summer of '06. I just learned a new technique for making the background blurry and giving the subject a glowing aura and I was very happy with the results! I am looking forward to more maternity shoots. They are so beautiful and sacred!

Motorcyclin' to Orcas Island

This past two weeks I spent on an adventurous journey up to Orcas Island, WA. I spent about 3 days on my 1986 Honda Shadow 500 Motorcycle getting up to Orcas. (click on pics to view larger version with captions)I took my old Canon TX (late 1970's film SLR camera) with me slung over my shoulder and took three rolls of film with me. Many were blurry...but often to a nice effect. WOW...these camera's take some SKILL to use! :) For the Black and White pictures I used Ilford PANF Plus ISO 50. These pictures were developed professionally and they turned out increadible. This film is known for it'...

Soderling Adoption

Andrea and Johnathon Soderling recently updated me with their news that they are going to be adopting a child and that they will soon be wanting some new portraits!

I photographed their wedding last August, 2006 and it was a beautiful day. The setting was a georgeous countryside home with all kinds of animals roaming and kept on the property, as well as breathtaking landscaping with ponds, fountains, waterfalls, bridges, antique cars, and all kinds of other wonderful things. There was a very loving and supportive atmosphere the whole day and it was reflective of what wonderfully loving people Andrea and Johnathon are. I am sure they will make great parents to this new addition to their family.
